I waited too long to claim the work I was already doing. I was the friend everyone called. The one strangers told secrets to. I felt energy in my hands before I had any framework for what to call it — and I spent years dismissing it because no one had told me it was real.
The day I received my Reiki attunement, something inside me settled that had been restless my entire life. Not because Reiki gave me anything new. Because it named what was already there.

What you might be wondering
The honest answers to the things that come up before saying yes.
I've never done energy work before. Am I too new for this?
No. Most of our students arrive with no formal training — and many of them turn out to be the strongest channels. What matters is the openness, the honesty, and the willingness to be attuned. You don't need experience. You need the calling, and you have that or you wouldn't still be reading.
I'm not religious / spiritual / sure what I believe. Is that okay?
Yes. Reiki isn't a religion. It's an energy system that works whether you "believe" in it or not — much like electricity. We ask only that you bring an open mind and an honest body. The work will do the rest.
What's the difference between in-studio and virtual?
Energetically, both are equally powerful. Reiki transcends physical proximity — your attunements come through whether you're in the room or on Zoom. The in-studio experience offers the sensory immersion of being inside Source Sanctuary. The virtual experience offers the privacy of receiving from your own sacred space. Many students find the virtual format actually deepens their integration.
Do I have to start a Reiki business after I'm certified?
No. Many students train purely for self-healing and family practice. Others go on to charge for sessions, teach Reiki themselves, or integrate it into existing modalities (massage, therapy, coaching, doula work). What you do with your certification is yours. Either path is honored.
Why is the 21-day integration so important?
Because attunement without integration is incomplete. Your nervous system needs time to recalibrate to the new frequency. Without that integration window, students often feel "activated but ungrounded" — unable to fully embody what they received. Three weeks is the minimum for the energy body to truly land. This is what most weekend trainings skip — and why so many people leave them feeling like nothing actually changed.
What if I sign up and then can't make it?
All sessions are recorded and accessible afterward. Live attunements are best received in real time, but if you must miss one, we offer a remote attunement during the integration period to make sure you're not left behind. We don't leave students stranded.
Is the certification recognized?
Yes. You receive a lineage-bearing certificate documenting your training in the Usui Reiki tradition through Source Sanctuary. This is the same standard of certification accepted by most wellness centers, energy practitioner directories, and professional association registries. It is yours for life.
